Art object in high-fired ceramic – stoneware clay, ceramic pigments and colouring oxides.

Glazed on the inner surface, natural matt of the clay on the outer surface.

Size: 12 inches diameter, 3.5 inches height

 

The Ocean in a Drop, is an art object I created during the first lockdown of 2020.

The world outside was in turmoil, but my life in the studio during lockdown was calm and serene. My mind was silent, yet buzzing with the emotions of what we were going through individually and collectively.

 

Inspired by the depth of the ocean, the emotion of the pandemic and Rumi’s words.
