A wall mural, handcrafted from memories.

 

Having always lived in a water-city, the feel of water on my skin and the expanse of a water body is special. It’s the space that gives me a sense of freedom, a balance between connecting and disconnecting.

 

This work is inspired by the memory of the time I lived in Curaçao.

 

• Concept: The beach at Curaçao
• Finish: Partially glazed and unglazed
• Palette: Sea blue glaze and a deep blue hand-etched design in coloured clay (unglazed)
• Scale: This mural is composed of 10 pieces, each one about 9 inches in diameter. The composition can be played with, based on the scale and orientation of the wall space
