Fired in an electric kiln to 1200 degrees celsius

 

This ceramic bust is an experiment in glaze theory and technique as well as an amalgamation of technique with concept; this simple form of the face depicts us living with the textures of time.

 

It was shown at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi in 2010.

It is currently on display at the show Mutable : Ceramic and Clay Art in Indian since 1947. 

This is an initiative of the Piramal Art foundation and the show is on at the Piramal Museum of Art. The show has been curated by Jackfruit Research & Design.
