Live Installation at Studio PepperFry

What?

As part of World Environment Day awareness at the Pepper Fry studios in June 2018 across the country, The Pottery Lab team of artists introduced Pepper Fry visitors to the wonderful world of clay. We created live a mural made out of a special mix that we developed – clay and edible gum. The addition of edible gum helps give the clay a reasonably long shelf life to create wall art and sculptural works without needing to fire it (and thus dramatically reducing our consumption of fuel).

As we worked on our mural, visitors were welcome to interact with us and know more about clay as a natural home decor material. We also conducted workshops simultaneously where people learnt to create their own wall art.

Why Clay?

Clay is a naturally existing material that goes back into the earth it came from without damaging or releasing any toxic materials into its surroundings. To work with it is fun & therapeutic, it teaches us discipline & gentleness and most of all it is for everybody.

Psst…we also do events like these as Corporate Workshops!
